Dallas Show

It was fun and really great to see some of my old friends back again. The fun part is that no-one holds a grudge against us for anything. At least 10 people could tell us that what we have done for this community is worth more then a forum can express.

Karen and I talked to lot of friends and fellow builders and experienced that demands are finally picking up again.
Ever since your economy got side swiped, demands fell to an all-time low but it looks like our economy is on the rise again. Some builders are a little shivery about home builders and there idea's. One builder could tell me that the "steel guitar builders forum" is full of good idea's but the idea's need money to be made reality and that they are not really afraid that home builders would start their own business.
It is my opinion that more home builders should pick up their tools and start building steel guitars them selves.
The price of a D10 steel guitar is to high anyway...........but a lot of builders disagree with me on that.
Their overhead is exorbitant and that is the reason they raise the price as they do. I can build a D10 with 8x6 (my standard) for $2100 and still make a profit and if I can do that, why can't others?

The answer to that question is very simple................. I don't use CNC machinery but conventional ones. I don't have to pay of the loan for these machines because I have no need for $50.000 CNC machines.

Further then that.......almost everyone I talked to agreed on one thing........steel guitar ain't dead yet.
